Board of Directors

Jacques Malherbe was appointed as Director of Sales at Westcon SA in January 2006 and then as CEO in July 2006. In this capacity, Jacques leads the Westcon sales team and fulfills the role of developing and directing sales strategies and programmes. He also provides product managers strategic guidance on their product mix. Jacques has extensive working experience in South Africa and abroad, boasting 20 years of experience in ICT and logistics. He most recently served as a consultant at a strategic consulting firm in the US.

Keith Rich has over 25 years of experience in senior management in Emerging Markets. He has been in the IT industry for the last 18 years. Currently, Keith is Westcon ‘s Group SVP AIME Region responsible for Africa, India and the Middle East. He is also Chairman of Westcon Middle East Group and Westcon India. Prior to his current positions Keith was the Managing Director - Middle East - responsible for the business interest in the region covering 20+ countries for the Westcon Group. Prior to Keith's entry into the IT industry, he held various general, sales and marketing management positions in the supply chain/logistics and automotive industries. Having left his native England back in 1980 he has lived and worked extensively in the Middle East, India and Africa.

Richard joined Westcon in 2004 as UK Finance Director, and then moved into the European role in January 2009.  Previously Richard had spent ten years spent in senior commercial finance roles with software vendors Attachmate and Compuware. Prior to that, Richard spent six years with leading airline caterer Alpha Airport Group, plc.

Andrew Moodley has been appointed as an Executive Director on the board of Westcon SA as of February 2009. Andrew has been with Westcon SA since early 2007 in various business roles. He runs the Service Provider Business Unit in South Africa and will also be responsible for driving growth within this sector in the African territory. Prior to joining Westcon SA, he worked for Verizon Business and other multi-national organisations with various technology and business responsibilities.

On the 1 February 2011, Fathima Gany joined Westcon SA as financial director and company secretary. Fathima is a Chartered Accountant and previously served on the board of multinational as well as locally listed companies in the same position. Fathima will head up the finance, admin, logistics and warehousing divisions at Westcon SA.

Oren Fuchs is currently the special projects manager at MIC, which is the minority shareholder of WestconSA. His previous positions include: Corporate Strategy Manager, SABC, Cofounder, General Manager: Finance & Viability, Blue IQ, Deputy Director: Economic Policy: Department of Finance and Economic Affairs, Professional Planner: Johannesburg Metropolitan Council, IT Administrator : Robin Lee Associates.
